Notary Services

Bowling Green Public Library offers free notary services.

Notary services are available on an as-needed basis, as not all staff members are available to notarize documents at all times. Please call ahead when possible.

What to Bring

• Your completed, unsigned document(s) to be notarized
• A valid, unexpired government-issued photo ID
• Any required witnesses (if your document requires them)

Please Note

Documents must be signed in the presence of the notary unless the document is an acknowledgment.

We Cannot Notarize

• Documents that are already signed (except acknowledgments)
• Documents not written in English
• Documents with blank spaces other than signature fields
• Vital records or certified copies of official public records

Library staff cannot prepare documents or provide legal advice.

Notaries reserve the right to refuse service if a document or situation raises concerns about authenticity, legality, or clarity.
