Renew or Reserve Materials

Materials may be renewed or reserved in person, by phone, or online.

An after-hours drop box is located next to the front door for returning materials when the library is closed.

Loan Periods

  • Books: 2 weeks
  • DVDs: 2 days

Late Fees

  • Late fees are 25¢ per day.
  • If an item is lost or damaged, please contact library staff.

Interlibrary Loan

  • If an item is not available in our catalog, it may be requested through interlibrary loan.
  • Any patron with a valid library card in good standing may request materials through interlibrary loan.
  • There is no fee for interlibrary loan requests.
  • Average turnaround time is typically 2–3 weeks, depending on availability.

Online Renewals & Holds

  • Materials can also be renewed or reserved online through Missouri Evergreen.
  • Username: Your full library card number
  • PIN: Last 4 digits of your library card number
  • To search only Bowling Green Public Library, keep “Bowling Green” selected.
  • To search all participating libraries, select “Missouri Evergreen.”
