Adult Summer Reading Program 2026
Unearth Your Next Great Read: Adult Summer Reading 2026
Summer reading isn't just for kids! Whether you are looking to dive deep into a thrilling mystery, explore a new piece of history, or finally tackle that pile of books on your nightstand, the Bowling Green Public Library invites you to join our Adult Summer Reading Challenge.
There are no complex logs, no mandatory reading lists, and no strict page counts. This summer is all about reading for the pure joy of it, all on your own terms.
How It Works
-
Set Your Own Goal: Decide what a successful summer of reading looks like for you. Whether it’s finishing 3 monumental novels, reading for 20 minutes a day, or exploring 5 completely new genres, you set the bar.
-
Read at Your Own Pace: Enjoy your favorite books throughout July and August. Fiction, non-fiction, audiobooks, and graphic novels all count!
-
Celebrate Your Success: Once you have crushed your personal reading goal, stop by the library front desk to let us know.
Reward Your Inner Bookworm
To celebrate your achievement, every adult who completes their personal summer reading goal can stop by the front desk to pick up a pen and bookmark set as a token of our appreciation.
Give yourself permission to slow down, get lost in a great story, and unearth something wonderful this summer. Happy reading!
